What's a high-protein breakfast if I don't like eggs, yogurt or shakes?
Start with dinner for breakfast. Leftover chicken, salmon, turkey chili or a batch of seasoned ground turkey all work at 7 a.m. Pair a palm-sized portion of protein with vegetables, and once carbs come back, some fruit or oats. In our experience, a bigger, protein-forward breakfast tends to carry you right through to lunch.
No eggs required.
No yogurt.
No shake you have to plug your nose to get down.
Why does breakfast matter so much?
Did you know? For a lot of the women we coach, breakfast is the meal with the least protein in it.
Coffee. Maybe toast. Maybe nothing real until 11.
And then the day runs on catch-up. A lot of women tell us that when breakfast shows up late, they feel like eating all the way to midnight.
In our experience, a real breakfast with protein changes the whole day:
- You stay full until lunch. A meal that actually carries you.
- The afternoon gets steadier. Fewer trips to the snack drawer at 4.
- The evenings get quieter. Less grazing after dinner.
- Your workouts have fuel. Your body has something to build with.
Here's how much protein you actually need, and how to get it from food.
What if I don't like eggs, yogurt or shakes?
You're in very good company.
Some women can't stand the texture of anything soft or mushy. Others just never got into yogurt. And plenty of women would rather eat their protein than drink it.
That's completely fine. Here's what works instead:
- Dinner for breakfast. Last night's chicken, salmon or steak, warmed up with a handful of vegetables.
- A ground turkey hash. Cook a big batch on Sunday with peppers, onions and spinach. Scoop, warm, eat.
- Turkey chili. It's a great breakfast. Nobody has to know.
- Smoked salmon. With cucumber, tomato and avocado.
- Chicken or turkey sausage. With sautéed greens or roasted vegetables on the side.
Here's the thing.
Breakfast doesn't have to look like breakfast. It just has to have protein in it.
What if it's the texture of eggs I can't stand?
Then this one might surprise you.
Some women who can't face scrambled or runny eggs do fine with an egg bake. Eggs and vegetables baked in a muffin tin or a baking dish on Sunday come out firm, sliceable and a lot less "eggy."
Grab one or two from the fridge, warm them up, and go.
If eggs are a hard no, skip this one. Everything above works without them.
What carbs are good at breakfast?
It depends on where you are in the plan.
The first 14 days are lower carb and higher protein, with a short break from alcohol, dairy, gluten and processed sugar. So breakfast is protein, vegetables and a little healthy fat. Leftover salmon with sautéed spinach and avocado is a perfect example.
After that, carbs come back. That's when a few easy ones fit at breakfast:
- Sweet potato. Roasted on Sunday, warmed with your turkey hash.
- Berries and other fruit. On the side, or on top.
- Oats. Cooked or made the night before, topped with berries.
Want more protein in your oats? If you already use a protein powder, a scoop stirred into your oats doesn't feel anything like a shake. You don't need a powder, though. Real food comes first.
What if I'm not hungry in the morning, or I'm starving at 6?
Both are really common.
Not hungry? Start with a few bites. A couple of slices of leftover chicken with your coffee counts. Build from there over a week or two. In our experience, morning hunger often comes back once women start eating breakfast and training. Here's more on what to do when you're never hungry in the morning.
Starving and training early? Have a little protein before you press play, then a real breakfast after. Here's what to eat before a morning workout.
Is it okay to eat the same breakfast every day?
Yes.
A lot of the women we coach are creatures of habit. If you've found a breakfast you'd happily eat every morning for years, keep it.
Fewer decisions. Easier mornings. One less thing to think about before 8 a.m.
The only time to change it is when you start dreading it. Then tell your coach, and she'll help you swap in something new.
How much protein should breakfast have?
We don't count grams.
We use the hand method. A palm-sized portion of protein is a simple starting point, and your coach tells you how many palms fit your body and your goals.
And go easy on yourself. You don't have to overhaul breakfast on day one. Start small, then build.
If your doctor has given you a protein limit or other food advice for a medical reason, follow your doctor. Your coach builds your plan around it.
Most women come to us wanting to lose weight. What they actually want to lose is fat.
In our experience, a breakfast that holds you to lunch is one of the simplest changes that helps with that.
We've helped 1,000+ women lose 10 to 20 lbs of fat in 8 weeks. A lot of them started with a better breakfast.

He reads every application himself. On the call, he'll look at how you're eating right now, including what you won't eat, and tell you straight whether the program is the right fit. If it is, he walks you through the investment then, once you both know it's a fit.
Real protein.
Food you actually like.
