Can't I just ask ChatGPT to make me a meal plan?
It can write a plan, but it doesn't know you. It doesn't know your goal, your timeline, your training, your schedule, your stress or your height, weight and age. Our Precision Nutrition certified coaches use all of that to build your plan. Then Elle On-Demand, our own AI assistant, helps you live it every day.
A plan is easy to get.
A plan built for you is different.
And living it on a Tuesday is the real work.
Why does a perfect-looking plan still not work?
I hear some version of this on calls all the time.
"I know how to make a plan. I've downloaded the apps. I bought the food scale. I literally do nothing with it."
Sound familiar?
Here's what usually happens with a plan that came from a generic chat:
- It looks great on Sunday. A tidy week of meals, every number lined up.
- Wednesday doesn't cooperate. A late meeting, a sick kid, dinner at your mother-in-law's.
- It was built for anyone. So it fits nobody's real week, including yours.
- Nobody notices when you stop. Skip three days and nothing happens.
One woman we coach said it herself: "I think it's the accountability piece."
She's right.
What doesn't a general AI tool know about you?
Almost everything that matters.
Ask a general chatbot for a plan and it's guessing. It doesn't know:
- Your goal, and your timeline. What you want to change, and by when.
- Your training. How many times a week you work out, and what your body needs to recover and build muscle.
- Your movement outside workouts. The desk days, the soccer-field days, the weekends that go completely still.
- Your life. Your food preferences, your schedule, your stress level.
- Your personal metrics. Your height, your weight, your sex and your age.
Change any one of those and the plan should change too.
How do our coaches build your nutrition plan?
With a lot more math than a chatbot, and a lot more of you.
Every one of our coaches is Precision Nutrition certified. With that certification, we have access to Precision Nutrition's software, and we use it to build your personalized nutrition plan, with targeted macros and calories.
Here's what goes into it:
- All of your metrics. Your goal, timeline, training, movement, preferences, schedule, stress, height, weight, sex and age.
- A specific outcome. Your plan is designed to create a specific body composition result, not a generic number on a scale.
- Your training program. The food and the workouts are built to work together, toward the goal of the program.
- Most importantly, it lasts. The plan is built to be sustainable long term, not just for 8 weeks.
- Real food you enjoy. Built around what you actually like to eat. No food scales. No weighing every bite.
Chris puts it simply: there's a lot more math involved than people think, and you want us involved in it.
Most women come to us wanting to lose weight. What they actually want to lose is fat. That takes a plan built for your body, not anyone's.
What is Elle On-Demand?
It's our own custom AI assistant, built for the women we coach.
It knows you. It knows our program, our coaching philosophy and over 500 of my recipes.
Think of it as your personal recipe and macro assistant:
- It plans your days. Meals and snacks that hit your targets, so you don't spend your mental energy figuring it out. That's the biggest disconnect for a lot of women.
- It tracks as you go. Take a picture of your meal, add a little context, and it keeps a running total for the day. No measuring everything you put in your mouth.
- It helps when you eat out or travel. Tell it the restaurant or the hotel you're staying at, and it points you to healthy options nearby based on your preferences and your targets.
- It cooks with what you have. Snap a photo of your fridge, and it builds a recipe from what it sees that you can make in about 5 minutes.
Chris calls it the biggest game changer he's seen in the nutrition space.

So why do I still need a human coach?
Because a plan and a tool still need someone in your corner.
Your coach is a PN-certified coach and a woman over 40 who has done the Reset herself. She helps you build the habits and skills it takes to make all of this work in your real life.
This isn't a set-it-and-forget-it plan.
It's an interactive process. It takes time to dial in, and your coach adjusts it as your body responds and your weeks change. You get a check-in every week, plus direct access between them.
What we're really doing is helping you systemize your life, so eating well becomes a lifestyle you can keep.
Chris has a line for this one: "You don't cut your own hair. Why design your own nutrition plan?"
If you already know what to do and still don't do it, read do I need a coach if I already know what to do.
And if the internet keeps giving you opposite answers, here's who to believe when the advice keeps conflicting.
What does the rest of the program look like?
The nutrition plan is one piece. Here's the rest of our 8-week 35+ Metabolic Reset:
- Strength training at home. Follow-along video workouts, about 50 minutes, 4 a week.
- Recovery that counts. Sleep and rest days are part of the plan.
- One coach watching the whole picture. Your food, your training and your recovery, together.
We've helped 1,000+ women lose 10 to 20 lbs of fat in 8 weeks. Plenty of them came to us with a folder of plans they'd never followed.
And for anything medical, from medications to symptoms to test results, your doctor is the right person. Not a chatbot, and not us.
Ready for a plan that actually knows you?
You don't need another generic plan.
You need one built for you, a tool that helps you live it, and someone in your corner while you do.
Start with the short video on our homepage at fortyfwd.com. It walks through why your body stopped responding after 40 and the method we use to change that.
If it sounds like you, apply for a call with Chris.
He reads every application himself. On the call, he'll look at what you've already tried, plans and all, and tell you straight whether the program is the right fit. If it is, he walks you through the investment then, once you both know it's a fit.

Frequently asked questions
Can ChatGPT make me a weight loss meal plan?
It can write a plan, but it doesn't know your goal, your timeline, your training, your movement, your food preferences, your schedule, your stress or your height, weight, sex and age. Our Precision Nutrition certified coaches build your plan from all of that.
What is Elle On-Demand?
It's Forty Forward's own AI assistant for the women we coach. It knows you, our program and over 500 of Elle's recipes, and it helps you plan your days, track as you go and find good options when you eat out or travel.
Do I have to count calories or weigh my food?
No food scales and no weighing every bite. Elle On-Demand can keep a running total for the day from a photo of your meal and a little context, so you don't have to measure everything yourself.
Why do I keep abandoning meal plans?
Usually because the plan was built for anyone and nobody adjusts it when your week changes. A plan built around your body and your life, with a coach who checks in, tends to stick.
How is a coach different from an app or chatbot?
A coach knows your goals, your body and your week, and helps you build the habits to follow your plan. Ours check in every week, with direct access between check-ins.
